Yuexiu Park is the largest park in Guangzhou. There are several lakes, pavilions, teahouses, greenhouses and swimming pool in the park. The symbol of the city, the sculpture of the Five Rams, is here, in the park. A legend says that five celestial beings came there riding the five goats. Each of them held a bunch of rice ears to prevent people of the city from the famine forever.
You’ll find a City Museum here in the five storied pagoda. The exhibit of the museum shows the history of Guangzhou from Neolithic time to the beginning of the last century.
