It’s a tomb of the second king of Nanyue Kingdom, the local administrative unite of Guangzhou during the Western Jin Dynasty. Nanyue King’s Tomb is more than 2000 years old and it’s the earliest large-scale painted stone-chamber tomb that was ever found in the south of the Five Ridges. A lot of burial objects such as jade adornments, vessels made from chariot, gold and silver, musical instruments were found here in 1983 at the time of the Tomb’s discovering. A golden seal found here is the only seal of Emperors’ of Jin Dynasty discovered in China.
