Guangxiao Temple is one of the four famous temples in Guandong Province. It has a history of 1500 years. The temple has a very important meaning in the Buddhist history in China. Many famous and ordinary monks come here to preach since the reign of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (A.D. 317 - 420) from all over the world. You’ll find the Mahavira Hall, Sleeping Buddha statue, bodhi trees, East and West Pagodas here. These pagodas are the rare example of ancient iron pagodas well preserved here.
