CITY TOURS

The tour starts from the Vladivostok Railway Station built in Russian architectural style of the 17th century, modeled after the Yaroslavsky Railway Station in Moscow (the beginning of the Trans-Siberian Railroad). You will see the last milestone of the Trans-Siberian Railroad with the inscription on it: "Here is the terminus of the Great Trans-Siberian Railroad. Distance to Moscow is 9288 km" (5771 miles). 

The tour takes you to the main square of the city, site of public holiday celebrations. See Primorye Administration and the Krai Duma building. Travel along Korabelnaya Naberezhnaya Street to the Pacific Fleet Headquarters, the Memorial Submarine S-56 and the Eternal Flame. See the Monument to sailors of the Commercial Fleet who perished during World War II, St. Paul's Lutheran Church. 

You will have a chance to enjoy the best view of Vladivostok from the top of the Eagle's Nest (Orlinoye Gnezdo) Hill, the highest point of the city (214 m, or 702 feet). See the fascinating panorama of Golden Horn, Amursky, and Ussuriisky Bays and Russian Island. On to the Commercial Port, Fishing Port, docks, and sea terminals. The famous Vladivostok Aquarium with its main attraction, beluga whales, will be your last stop.


City tour & Memorial Morskoye Cemetery.

The above City tour is combined with a visit to Morskoye Cemetery. Morskoye (Marine) Cemetery is a memorial cemetery of Vladivostok. It was opened in 1905. A lot of famous people were buried there. Vladimir Arseniev, the explorer of the Russian Far East who died in Vladivostok in 1930 is among them. There is a monument to Varyag heroes. The ashes of the seamen from cruiser Varyag, who died in the battle with Japanese Squadron of warships on January 27, 1904 (Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905), were reburied here. There are graves of British and Canadian solders and officers, as well as Czeck legionaries, who died in Primorye in the years of intervention (1918-1922).


Vladivostok Fortress Museum.

The museum of unique Vladivostok's underground marine fortress, constructed at the end of the 19th- the beginning of 20th centuries. Vladivostok Fortress had been built for 40 years and was one of the best and largest fortresses in the world. The museum is located in Bezymyannaya Battery - one of fortress's batteries, built in 1872. 


Fort #7.

One of underground forts of the main line of defense, located at the 164 meters' mountain (about 15 km north of the downtown). The fort of the 1910 has a lot of combat and underground structures. The garrison of the fort consisted of 235 riflemen, 68 artillerists, 20 machine-gunners, and 53 sappers and miners. Has no analog in the world practice.


Arsenyev Primorsky Krai Museum

Nature, ethnography, archaeology and history museum. Over 200 000 exhibits. Stuffed animals, herbariums, minerals. The history of the Primorye Region from ancient to modern times. A Jurchengs burial complex. Katyusha Rocket Machine of World War II. Rich numismatic collection. The history of Vladivostok from its birth.

Russian Souvenir. Ground floor of the White House. Russian souvenirs, jewelry, and women's fur hats and coats. 
Primorsky Souvenir. Here you will find seashells, souvenirs with Vladivostok emblems, traditional Russian souvenirs.
