Irkutsk-Baikal Tour (5 days/ 4 nights): 

Russian and Buryats lifestyle and traditions.
 

ITINERARY

Day 1.  Arrive in Irkutsk, the center of Siberia, transfer to the hotel***/****. Accommodation at the hotel. City tour, including a visit to the main sights of interest. You'll see buildings created in beautiful Siberian baroque, Russian classical style, in neoclassicism and constructivism, nice merchant houses and wooden houses so typical for old Siberia. Visit to Znamensky nunnery famous for its original iconostasis and the site of foundation of Irkutsk fort. Visit to one of the museums (Museum of regional Studies or  the Decembrists' Museum or the Museum of Nature-the brunch of the Museum of Regional Studies )

Day 2. Full day at the Baikal Lake, the deepest lake in the world. Visit to the Open-Air Museum of Wooden Architecture on the way. It occupies the territory of 70 ha. A unique collection of historical and cultural memorials of Eastern Siberia peoples. Accommodation at the hotel in Listvyanka village (on the bank of th lake). Lunch at the restaurant on the shore of Baikal Lake. Tour to Baikal Museum (so called Limnological Museum) offering a great variety of species of fauna and flora of Lake Baikal and the lake history. 

Day 3. After breakfast trip to the Chersky Peak (2000 meters). Leaving for Irkutsk. On the way to Irkutsk lunch-picnic at "Sibirskaya Zaimka", walking around (horse riding is possible as option). Accommodation in Irkutsk at the hotel***/****

Day 4. Full day trip to the Buryat Settlement Ust Orda with a visit to the Buryat Ethnography Museum. Lunch of Buryat's National cuisine. After lunch you'll have a chance to see a special rite of purification and worship of the ancestor spirits, which is performed by the shaman. Departure to Irkutsk.

Day 5. Departure transfer to airport or railway station. Departure.

Prime season - the whole year round.

Included: transfers, accommodation, breakfasts and 3 lunches, english/ german-speaking guide, entrance fees,  transportation according the program.
