The tours “Russian Far East Federal Marine Reserve”
 

Russian Far East Federal Marine Reserve is the only marine reserve in the country. Unique in its beauty and bio-diversity, the reserve occupies nearly 65 000 hectares or about 10% of Peter the Great Bay which links Vladivostok area waters to the Sea of Japan. 

11 island of the reserve are rich in aesthetic, scientific, and historical value. The wind-carved cliffs, sandy beaches, subtropical forests and inland waterways are home to more than 3 300 species of flora and fauna. The Larga seal rookeries and marine bird colonies are of particular interest. The wind, waves and rain have created striking geological sculptures that lend additional charm to the reserve's picturesque blend of island and coastline. 

The reserve's waters abound in highly varied marine life and feature underwater rocks, banks and reefs covered with an almost continuous "living carpet". You can see and make pictures of giant octopus, Kamchatka king crab, sea urchins and cucumbers, starfish and others.

Prime season - May - October

Tour 1: 
2 days / 1 night 

Day 1. 13.00 taking  public ferry to Popov Island (1.5 hours on the way). Arriving, visiting Center of ecological education. Accommodation. Lunch. Excursion to the reserve museum. Excursion along the eco-trail. Dinner. Free time (watching nature film, making handcrafts). 

Day 2. Breakfast. Optional excursions: archaeological, geological, botanical. Lunch. 15.00 way back to Vladivostok.

Tour 2: 
4 days / 3 nights 

Day 1. 12.00 taking Kometa speedboat to Slavanka village (1 hour). Arriving, taking a car, transfer to Gamova Peninsula, Vityaz village. Accommodation (twin rooms). Lunch. Walking excursion along Shyltsa Peninsula. Dinner.

Day 2. Breakfast. Car (bus excursion) to Telakovskogo Bay (Federal Marine Reserve). Lunch-picnic. Excursion to Lighthouse. Way back to Vityaz Bay. Dinner.

Day 3. Breakfast. Excursion to Telakovskogo Bay and Spasenya Bay (Federal Marine Reserve). Lunch-picnic. Dinner. Russian steam bath.

Day 4. Breakfast. Transfer to Slavanka village. Lunch. Way back to Vladivostok by speedboat. Arriving Vladivostok by 16.00.
